Costa Blanca Cup to Decide Six Champions This Friday

The Costa Blanca Cup will crown six of its champions this Friday as the international youth football tournament reaches the decisive stages of the competition. Titles will be awarded in all four girls' age categories, as well as the Overall Club Champion trophy, while the winners of two boys' categories (B19 and B8) will also be decided

The Costa Blanca Cup 2026 entered the first knockout rounds on Thursday, setting the stage for a decisive Friday when the tournament's first champions will be crowned. In the girls' competition, all age-group finals will take place, determining not only the category winners but also the Overall Club Champion of this international youth football tournament, organised by Tour-Sport Promociones Deportivas since 1994.

In the G19 (Under-19) category, Inspire Soccer FC (USA) will face local side CF La Nucía, with the hosts enjoying home advantage at the venue where all Phase A finals will be played. In G16 (Under-16), South Belfast YFL (Northern Ireland) will take on Norway's NSU in the championship match.

In G14 (Under-14), the quarter-finals have now been completed. The semi-finals will be played on Friday morning, with the final scheduled for the afternoon.

The final girls' category, G12 (Under-12), completed its group stage on Thursday, producing a final between Sporting Club Féminin 78 (France) and Int. Soccer Promises (Spain).

In the boys' competition, Friday morning will see the B19 (Under-19) semi-finals played before the final takes place later in the day. The B8 (Under-8) title match has also been confirmed following the conclusion of the group stage, with Palmeiras Experience (Brazil) facing CF Atlético Jonense (Spain).

Meanwhile, the knockout stages will continue throughout Friday in the B10, B11, B12, B13, B14, B15, B16 and B17 categories. Depending on the number of participating teams and groups, these competitions progressed through preliminary rounds, Round of 16 matches or quarter-finals on Thursday.

A total of 118 matches were played on Thursday across all categories at venues in Benidorm, L'Alfàs del Pi, Altea, La Nucía, Calpe, Finestrat and La Vila Joiosa, adding to the 304 matches already played between Monday and Wednesday. To cope with the high temperatures, organisers continue to implement health monitoring measures and scheduled hydration breaks.

Around 4,000 players from across Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe are taking part in the tournament, enjoying not only top-level competition but also valuable intercultural experiences.
