The Costa Blanca Cup starts on a brilliant night

The L'Aigüera auditorium hosted the opening ceremony, receiving the 275 teams from 23 different countries that will compete until 8th July

The organization of the Costa Blanca Cup never ceases to amaze and shows a clear ability to excel each year. The twenty-ninth edition of the international grassroots football tournament was inaugurated this Monday. Tour-Sport Promociones Deportivas shaped another spectacular event full of light, performances and a brilliant closing with a fireworks display, which kept the almost five thousand attendees staring at the Benidorm sky until the end of the ceremony.
A traditional act in the program of each edition of the tournament, but one that progressively shows that it goes a little further: progress, avant-garde and technology. The setting itself is already striking: L'Aigüera de Benidorm. Starting from the meeting point on the seafront, all the participating delegations went up the city of tourism par excellence until they reached the nerve center of this football festival.
A welcome to the nearly three hundred teams participating in the tournament were arriving by delegations. And they were arriving from Spain and up to 22 other countries, representing the continents of Europe, Asia, America, Africa and Oceania.
The international data is listed as follows (countries and number of teams): Saudi Arabia (1), Algeria (4), Australia (5), Belgium (4), Brazil (1), Canada (2), Chile ( 1), Colombia (3), United Arab Emirates (10), United States, United States (2), France (11), England (18), Northern Ireland (2), Iceland (3), Japan (3), Jordan (2), Morocco (5), Poland (1), Portugal (1), Puerto Rico (4), Dominican Republic (1), Uganda (1).
The national data shows 8 autonomous communities and 15 provinces represented (by provinces and number of teams): Almería (4), Cádiz (3), Málaga (6), Jaén (3), Huesca (1), Toledo (4), Ciudad Real (1), León (11), Salamanca (2), Barcelona (12), Lleida (3), Madrid (24), Alicante (93), Valencia (10) and the Balearic Islands (8).
All the teams were parading at their entrance to L'Aigüera, where they were presented and took their places, living a very special moment with the final entrance to the auditorium of the teams that will participate in the Costa Blanca Cup Inclusive, with a game of chair football of wheels (A-Ball).
With all the participants already accommodated, also accompanied by family and friends who wanted to enjoy the ceremony, as well as the presence of collaborating sponsors (Kappa, Grupo HCB Hospitales, Grupo Sala, Aqualandia, Mundomar and Terra Mítica), and authorities, among them Ana Pellicer, first deputy mayor of Benidorm, the ceremony continued. Pellicer welcomed the teams and encouraged them to enjoy "unforgettable days around football, concord and happiness".
During the act, the ten venues that are part of this edition were valued with their soccer fields and futsal courts: Benidorm, Benissa, Calpe, Altea, Alfàs del Pi, La Nucía, Polop, Finestrat and Villajoyosa y Callosa. In addition, the possibility of following the tournament live (not video) through the toursport app was recalled.
The welcome event included a performance by the group Boogie Block and Kao Percussion. The end of the party came with a spectacular fireworks display.
