The group stages have concluded after three days of competition at the venues in Benidorm, L'Alfàs del Pi, Altea, La Nucía, Finestrat, and La Vila Joiosa, and the final rounds of the international youth football tournament begin this Thursday
Ten men's and five women's categories, divided into groups. Three rounds and more than three hundred matches. The Costa Blanca Cup 2025 completed its group stages this Wednesday, since the ball started rolling on the soccer fields of Benidorm, L'Alfàs del Pi, Altea, La Nucía, Finestrat, and La Vila Joiosa last Monday. This is how the final knockout stages, which will begin this Thursday and extend through to the finals scheduled for both Friday and Saturday, are all completed.

The scenario that unfolds from now on in the Costa Blanca Cup tournament is simply faithful to its very essence on an international level. Indeed, teams from the Valencian Community and other parts of Spain advanced to the final stages, but so did teams from countries in Europe, North America, Central America, Africa, and Asia. In addition, Wednesday also featured the traditional coaching match.
The Costa Blanca Cup is celebrating its 31st edition this year, further underscored by the potential of teams that have come to the Marina Alta and Marina Baja from different countries around the world: up to 19. More than four thousand players compete between national and international clubs and teams. A tournament that combines sport, internationality, sports tourism, and memorable experiences for all its participants and their companions.
In addition to this intercultural component between boys and girls from different countries, it is worth highlighting that among the Spanish teams, there is a very special one: The Costa Blanca Cup organizers once again welcomed with great enthusiasm, also contributing with their presence and participation, Arrels CF, a U19 women's team made up of players representing teams and/or localities affected by Dana, the unfortunate tragedy that hit part of the province of Valencia hard on October 29, 2024. This team was created for the Valencia Cup Girls last Easter. Arrels CF finished their group stage first, directly advancing to the semifinals in their age group.
In short, this is a record-breaking edition for the international tournament organized by Tor-Sport Promociones Deportivas. A total of 208 teams, representing nineteen countries, with 4,000 players, their technical teams, and their support staff. While there is a notable local presence, with 51 teams, the number of clubs from outside the Valencian region is even: 80 teams from the rest of Spain and 77 from abroad.
Internationally, the consolidation of participation by teams from two regions of the world is significant. On the one hand, the Middle East with Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. On the other, the Caribbean, with the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico with ten teams. China returns after several years of absence, as do Brazil and Taiwan, which have doubled up in both soccer and futsal. Iceland, a country of just 300,000 inhabitants and very few federation members, has competed in the Costa Blanca Cup in 21 of the 31 editions. The United States' presence is also growing.
